Day 365 · December 31
A devotional for today
Today’s readings
- Old Testament: MALACHI 3:1-4:6
- New Testament: REVELATION 22:1-21
- Psalm: PSALM 150:1-6
- Proverb: PROVERBS 31:25-31
Old Testament
Malachi closes the Old Testament looking toward the Lord’s coming, a messenger who prepares the way, refining judgment, and the sun of righteousness rising with healing.
New Testament
The Bible ends with the river of life, the tree of life, the removal of the curse, God’s servants seeing His face, and Jesus
promising that He is coming soon.
Psalm
The Psalter finishes exactly where it should: everything that has breath praising the Lord. Proverb Summary The year closes with strength, dignity, wisdom, faithful work, and the lasting beauty of fearing the Lord. Discover Jesus Genesis began with creation, life, a garden, and fellowship with God. Revelation ends with creation renewed, the tree and river of life restored, the curse removed, and God’s people seeing His face. At the center stands Jesus - the Lamb, the King, the Alpha and Omega. Reflect After 365 days, what has changed in the way I see Jesus? Fellowship Complete this sentence together: “This year I saw Jesus…” Then thank God for what He revealed.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for meeting us throughout Your Word. Keep us reading, obeying, loving, and watching until we see You face-to-face. Amen.
Live
Do not treat Day 365 as the end. Tomorrow, open the Word again. Read, read some more, and keep reading until you see Jesus face-to-face.
