Day 175 · June 24
A devotional for today
Today’s readings
- Old Testament: 2 KINGS 6:1-7:20
- New Testament: ACTS 15:36-16:15
- Psalm: PSALM 142:1-7
- Proverb: PROVERBS 17:24-25
Old Testament
God opens a servant’s eyes to the unseen heavenly army and later ends a siege in an unexpected way. What looks impossible to us is never beyond God.
New Testament
Paul and Barnabas separate, yet mission continues. The Spirit redirects Paul, and Lydia’s heart is opened to receive the message.
Psalm
From the cave, David pours out his complaint to God and calls Him his refuge.
Proverb
Wisdom keeps its eyes on what matters instead of wandering after foolishness.
Discover
Elisha’s servant needs opened eyes; Lydia needs an opened heart. Jesus meets both needs - He helps us see and enables us to respond.
Reflect
What do I need Jesus to help me see differently?
Fellowship
Share one place in today’s reading where you saw Jesus more clearly. Then discuss the reflection question together.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, keep my eyes on You and shape my life by Your Word. Holy Spirit, give me grace to trust, obey, and follow You today. Amen.
Live
Ask Jesus to open your eyes to what fear has hidden. Lord Jesus, help me not only to know Your Word but to live it. Transform my heart so that my life reflects You more each day.
